Officials identify Columbus man who died in an apartment fire on Warm Springs Road

One person is dead following a fire at Trails at Flat Rock apartment complex on Warm Springs Road Wednesday morning in Columbus.
Kevin Ford, 26-years-old, was found in a third floor apartment and was pronounced dead by Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Elizabeth Allison at 8:27 a.m.
The victim will be transported to GBI headquarters in Decatur, Georgia.
The fire is still under investigation by the Columbus Fire Department. This story will be updated as new details become available.
