As I walked through the door of Wing Master on Veterans Parkway, my mouth started to water and stomach started to growl with the cacophony of smells that formed a beautiful symphony when combined.

I stood there for minutes trying to decide whether I wanted the three-piece fried fish dinner, the Philly cheese steak or the wings they claimed to have mastered. I decided on the namesake of the establishment and to test their claim of being the wing master.

I got the 12-piece wing combo with six Cajun wings, six medium Buffalo wings, fries and a Dr. Pepper. The debate between choosing ranch or blue cheese dressing was the only decision I had left to make.

Being someone who loves both on different occasions blue cheese dressing won this time simply because it had been a while since I chose it over ranch. However, you decide to dip your wings I will not judge (unless you dip them in mayonnaise).

The Cajun wings had immense flavor while remaining juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I don’t believe I could’ve found better even while walking the streets of New Orleans or driving around Baton Rouge.

The Buffalo wings had just the right amount of kick and had a peppery taste that paired well with the Cajun wings. I may move up to the hot Buffalo sauce next visit as I like a little more kick, but then again it takes habanero hot sauce for me to break a sweat.

I finished off the meal with the warm and crispy fries that I dipped in both medium buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing which were just as good as the wings, and I will definitely be going back.
