Man arrested after dog house falls out of truck, causes wreck and major delays on I-185, police say

Update: The Muscogee County Sheriff’s office has arrested Marcel Hawkins in connection with the wreck, according to the Sheriff Greg Countryman’s Facebook page.

Hawkins is being charged with the following:

  • Leaving the scene of the accident.
  • Duty to report an accident.
  • Unsecured load.
  • Reckless conduct.

Countryman’s post says that Hawkins knowingly left the scene of the wreck after a dog house that was in the back of the pickup truck Hawkins was driving fell out and caused two vehicles to collide.

Original: The Muscogee County Sheriff’s office is asking for help finding a person who they say injured two drivers on I-185 northbound on Monday and caused major delays, according to the sheriff’s Facebook page.

The driver drove a pickup truck of unknown make and color fled the scene of the accident, according to the sheriff’s office.

Pictures posted on Facebook shows a dog house blocking one lane of traffic.
