Here’s a list of fun events, deals for July Fourth in Columbus and Phenix City

With Independence day right less than a week away the Ledger-Enquirer has compiled a list of fun activities for the whole family.

July 3:

Chatt-a-hoots vs. Chattahoochee Monsters: The two hometown teams of the Sunbelt Baseball League will showdown at Golden Park. What better way to celebrate Independence day than baseball, hot dogs and popcorn? So, pack the family into the car and head to the game which starts at 7:05 p.m.

July 4:

National Civil War Naval Museum: Head down to the National Civil War Naval Museum to get a “Bang” for your buck. The museum will be hosting an Independence Day celebration with live music, hot dogs and drinks (while supplies last), and a live cannon firing at 1 p.m. Tickets will be $5 plus tax.

Phenix City 4th of July Celebration: Phenix City will be hosting a celebration at the Phenix City Amphitheater with live music by the Red Clay Strays, a food truck court, beer garden and fireworks show. The best news is it’s FREE! Gates will open at 4 p.m. EDT.

Freedom Fest at the National Infantry Museum: The National Infantry Museum will be hosting its annual Freedom Fest on July 4 with live music, kids activities, food trucks and more. Admission to the fest is free but there will be costs for the Virtual Reality simulators, food and drink.

July 4th Star Spangled Beach Party: Callaway Gardens will be throwing a party for the whole family on Robin Lake Beach from July 1 through July 4. There will be beach volleyball, putt putt, water activities like paddle-boarding. A fireworks show will light up the sky each night thank to their Fireworks Extravaganza. Admission will be $35.95 each.

Fourth of July Deals:

Best Buy: Save up to 40% on select kitchen appliances for July 4th at Best Buy. The sale ends on July 12.
