Woman dies a day after she was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Phenix City

One woman is dead following a two-vehicle crash that Wednesday in Phenix City, according to police.
Phenix City police said they responded to the wreck on Summerville Road at Watkins Avenue.
People in both vehicles were transported to a local hospital, police said.
Shamonica Salter died from her injuries on Thursday, according to the release.
Police said the incident is still under investigation by the Phenix City Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit.
