52-year-old man dies after he’s hit by vehicle on busy north Columbus boulevard

A man has died in the hospital after he was hit by a motor vehicle in Columbus.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the deceased as Grant Grabitt, 52.

Grabitt died in the intensive care unit of Piedmont Columbus Regional at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday, Bryan said.

He said Grabitt lingered in the hospital after he was hit by a car Nov. 18 in the street in front of an Old Chicago pizza restaurant at 6581 Whittlesey Blvd.
