Columbus consolidated government announces schedule changes for holiday season

The Columbus Consolidated Government has released closures and changes for various government services for the holiday season.

If your garbage is collected on Monday your garbage will be picked up on Wednesday Dec. 27 for the week of Christmas and Wednesday Jan. 3 for the week of New Year’s.

The following services will closed on both Christmas and New Year’s Day:

  • 311 Services Center
  • Civic Center/Ice Rink
  • Animal Control
  • METRA Bus Service
  • Property Tax & Motor Vehicle Registration
  • Bull Creek and Oxbow golf courses

All parks and recreations facilities will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1. The Columbus Aquatic Center will also be closed on Dec. 23.

Columbus Recorder’s Court will be open 8 a.m. advisement session only on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
