The Georgia Department of Transportation announced a traffic shift for the interchange between Bradley Park Drive and J.R. Allen Parkway (U.S. Route 80 and Georgia Route 22), beginning Feb. 5.

This will affect vehicles on the westbound ramp of Exit 3A and going both directions on Bradley Park Drive. No estimated date of completion is mentioned in the news release announcing the traffic shift. The Ledger-Enquirer didn’t reach a GDOT official for that answer before publication.

In Phenix City, Stadium Drive between 19th Avenue and South Railroad Street will be closed to all but emergency vehicles Monday, Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., due to Alabama Power conducting utility work, according to the city’s news release.

Phenix City also announced a portion of 13th Street at the Broad Street intersection will be closed Jan. 29 for repair of a sanitary sewer line. The repair is expected to take one day.

Multiple eastbound lanes will be closed, so the intersection of Seventh Avenue and 13th Street also will be closed. One lane along 13th Street will be open. A detour will be in place for access to Seventh Avenue.

Call the Phenix City Engineering Department at 334-448-2760 for more information.
