A Columbus man has died following a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Lee County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

ALEA said the crash occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m. on Saturday on Lee County 179, about 10 miles west of Phenix City.

The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Carlton Horace Davis of Columbus, according to ALEA.

Davis was fatally injured after the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with another vehicle, according to ALEA.

ALEA said Davis was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash was still under investigation, officials said over the weekend.
