Teen dead after getting hit by vehicle on Manchester Expressway in Columbus, coroner says

A 16-year-old has died after being hit by a vehicle over the weekend, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
The teenager, identified as Devonte Cage, was hit on Manchester Expressway in front of the Walmart on Gateway Road, Bryan said.
The incident happened after Cage had been picked up from Wendy’s, where he worked, and got into a dispute with a family member, according to Bryan.
Cage got out of the car he was in and was struck by another vehicle, Bryan said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:08 a.m. Sunday, according to Bryan.
