Unidentified body found on Memorial Day in Oakland Park area in Columbus possibly a teen
An unidentified body was found on Memorial Day at a pond in the Oakland Park area in Columbus, according to officials.
The black male victim appears to be in his mid to late teens and was wearing only a swimsuit, said Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
The body was located at a pond deep in the woods adjacent to Ormand Drive and Howe Avenue, according to Bryan.
Bryan said the victim was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m., Monday.
Officials are asking help in identifying the body.
Anyone with information regarding the unidentified victim can call 911.
Bryan said the body will be transported to Decatur for an autopsy.
