How will July 4th holiday affect Columbus garbage & trash pickup? Here is the schedule
The July Fourth holiday falls on a Thursday this year and that is typically a trash pick up day. The trash obviously won’t be collected on the holiday itself, but when will the trucks come to collect the garbage?
Here’s what you need to know
Thursday, July 4, 2024 (Independence Day), collection will be moved to Wednesday, July 3, 2024. This includes household trash, recycling and yard waste pickup.
There are no changes to the regular collection schedules for Monday, Tuesday and Friday during that week.
City offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024, for the Independence Day holiday.
Place all trash, recycling and yard waste at the curb on Wednesday, July 3, to make sure all garbage is collected for the week.
If you have questions about or concerns about Columbus’ waste collection schedule visit the city’s website for more information.
