The elder McCaffrey's military career was followed by five years as the President Clinton’s cabinet officer for U.S. Drug Policy.

Today, McCaffrey is president of his own Arlington, Va.-based consulting firm and is an adjunct professor of international affairs at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He is a member of the National Infantry Foundation’s National Advisory Board.

The foundation will unveil an architectural scale model of the new museum and other features of the 200-acre site just outside Fort Benning. The model was built by Atlanta-based Southern Model, Inc.

The Hughston Leadership Lecture Series is named in honor of Dr. Jack C. Hughston, and features contemporary speakers focusing on the subjects of leadership, courage, duty and honor. The series is sponsored by the Hughston Clinic in partnership with the National Infantry Foundation, with the goal of raising awareness for the new National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center at Patriot Park.
