First African Church breaks HIV/AIDS silence with concert

First African Baptist Church, the oldest black church in Columbus, is breaking the silence of the church on HIV and AIDS with a 5 p.m., Saturday concert to benefit the West Central Georgia-District Health Services, a division of the Columbus Health Department.

The event will be at First African, 901 Fifth Ave. It features gospel/jazz recording artist Randy Ritchie and area talents, NuBeginning, Tandra Holyfield and the Voices of Inspiration, and others.
