Two occupied vehicles were damaged when shots rang out at a Columbus park early Saturday, police said.
Deandre Hamilton, 19, and Darrius Humphrey, 18, were pulling out of Belvedere Park, 720 Parkwood Drive, about 12:45 a.m. when they both heard shots fired, police said.
One of the bullets shattered the back window of Hamilton's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria then grazed the teen's baseball cap, knocking it off of his head, before ripping through the vehicle's front windshield. Police said there was about a half-inch cut on the right side of Hamilton's cap from where the bullet seared the fabric.
Humphrey's car also sustained damage when a bullet struck a door.
