Families who have or have had children with cancer will be special guests at the Columbus Catfish baseball game Friday at 7 p.m. in Golden Park.
The evening is being sponsored by Camp Sunshine, a non-profit organization which enriches the lives of children with cancer and their families through recreational, educational and support programs allowing them to share similar experiences and to participate in activities that promote normal childhood development.
The gates open at 6 p.m. and families will enjoy a picnic dinner. There will a fireworks display following the game between Columbus and Asheville, two teams currently in a battle for first place in the division.
