The Friends of Libraries donates several books to soldiers

The Friends of Libraries donated 1,150 paperback books to the 3rd Brigade of 3rd Infantry Division, according to The Beacon, a publication of the Chattahoochee Valley Regional System.

Mary Lawler, wife of 203rd BSB commander Lt. Col. Kelly Lawler, contacted the library seeking donations to send the unit.The 203rd BSB supports the 3rd Infantry Division with facilities and services for soldiers in the field. Among those facilities is a tent that serves as a library.

The public is invited to help the library and others by donating gently used paperbacks to the Muscogee County Friends of Libraries, or by becoming a member.
