Congressman Lynn Westmoreland will be in Columbus Thursday as volunteers repair the home of a U.S. Army veteran.
House of Heroes, a local non-profit that improves the homes of military and public safety veterans, will be working at the home of Alberta Harvey at 1100 Celia Drive.
Westmoreland will be on site from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., "with his sleeves rolled up and ready to lend a hand," a news release from House of Heroes said.
In the past seven years, House of Heroes has repaired more than 233 in the Valley area.
