Jesus' story turned into modern-day musical

"Cotton Patch Gospel" puts the story of Jesus in modern-day, rural Georgia. Based on the story by Clarence Jordan, with music by Harry Chapin, the musical can be seen at 8 p.m. today through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Rylander Theater, 310 W. Lamar St., Americus. It's presented by the Sumter Players.
