Second murder suspect arrested

A second suspect has been arrested in the Aug. 8 slaying of a Box Springs man during a drug deal gone awry on the corner of Veterans Parkway and Fifth Street.

Melvin Williams , 17, was arrested Friday and charged with murder in the shooting death of Ronald Burrous during a crack cocaine purchase, Columbus Police said in a report.

Witnesses said that Williams had a gun at the time of the crime, the report said.

Calvin Grimes, 16, was arrested in connection with the shooting, and pleaded not guilty in Recorder's Court on Aug. 11.
