LaGrange man wanted in assault

Police in LaGrange, Ga., are searching for Derrick Davis after an incident involving a gun Monday night.

The charges on the warrant are for aggravated assault and criminal damage.

It was 8:18 p.m. when police responded to shots being fired at the 100 block of Bell Street. Witnesses told police that Davis had fired several shots at David Moreland then fled the area in a late model, brown, four-door Cadillac.

The two men had been arguing earlier in the evening. Witnesses told police that Davis then left and returned 20 minutes later with the weapon which he began to fired toward Moreland who was with other people on a porch.
