Bradford Health Services is sponsoring a free daylong workshop on alcohol dependence and treatment, according to a press release.
Day in Treatment: Understanding Chemical Dependence and its Treatment will be offered 8:15 a.m.-3:30 p.m. CST Sept. 11 at the East Alabama Medical Center Health Resource Center, 2027 Pepperell Parkway, Opelika, Ala. Georgia residents are also invited to attend.
Training sessions include Adult Inpatient Substance Abuse Treatment, Working with the Chemically Dependent Person in an Inpatient Setting, Chemical Dependence and the Family, and Adolescent Substance Abuse and Treatment.
Lunch is free, and 6.3 contact hours have been approved by national boards for certified counselors, addiction professionals, nurses and Alabama Social Work Board.
