The Muscogee County school district is hosting a discussion about alternative certification for math, science and special education teachers tonight at 7 p.m. at the Columbus Public Library on Macon Road.
The discussion will cover ways to obtaining teacher certification requirements for those who do not have a degree in education, including information on the application process and teacher testing. A bachelor's degree is required.
The district will host another round of presentations on the same topic Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at the library.
