Columbus Habitat for Humanity is hosting a "Building on Faith" project that begins today and lasts for several weeks.
The project honors churches and other faith groups for their work in helping to eliminate substandard housing.
This will be an "Apostle Build" with members of 11 churches and one synagogue building one house in 12 days. The builders will work at 3903 Meritas Drive on Fridays and Saturdays until Oct. 13.
Participating are First Baptist Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cascade Hills Church, First Presbyterian, First Freewill Baptist, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Matthew Lutheran Church, New Birth Outreach Ministry, Shearith Israel Synagogue, East Highland United Methodist Church and North Highland Assembly of God.
