If he gets up, we'll all get up

Forget the rain. This weekend, you couldn't make water fall from the sky if you had access to a red phone connected to the rain god. I don't care what the weatherman says.

So discard your worries and this Saturday head out for the latest Chattahoochee Valley Hash House Harriers run. They're meeting at 5 p.m. Saturday at The Saloon and Oyster Bar, 6005 Macon Rd. Bug spray and extra clothes are always good advice as well as $5 — the price if you've ever run with the group before. First-timers get in free.

While you're waiting for the run to start, check out the annual Bikes on Broadway. These guys aren't the 10 percent you might hear about from a frightened librarian, but are instead cordial men and women interested in a certain hobby. Walk around, have a few random conversations with strangers, check out the bikes. It's good times all around.

Or for the more theatrically inclined amongst you, make an appointment to audition for the first play of the season of the Chattahoochee Shakespeare Co. on Saturday or Sunday. The auditions are taking place in the Company C Academy of Dance studio, 128 Ga. 520, in Cusseta. Aspiring actors should call 706-423-6366 and have a prepared monologue.

I've already got mine ready. It'll be anarchy.
