Auburn University announced Monday that its enrollment has topped 24,000 for the first time.
Auburn enrollment stands at 24,137 students. All student groups saw an increase in enrollment.
Auburn enrolled its second largest freshman class with 4,191 just six students short of the record 4,197 enrolled in 2005. The average ACT score and grade point average of the freshman class is better than any freshman class dating back to 1992.
A record setting 706 minority freshmen enrolled. Last year, there were 691 minority freshmen enrolled.
