A 21-year-old LaGrange man was killed this morning when his pickup truck struck a utility pole near Hammett Road in LaGrange.
LaGrange Police responded to the 400 block of Hammett Road around 7:14 a.m., where they discovered a 1998 Toyota Tacoma travelling at high speed had left the road, striking a utility pole and coming to rest in a grove of trees, police said.
The driver, Gregory Scott Emory, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Emory was not wearing his seat belt.
The incident remains under investigation.
