The 17-year-old victim of a Saturday afternoon beating in Columbus told police he believes his assailants may have been after his shorts.
Harrison Heath said two men that appeared to be between 17-20 years old attacked him near the intersection of Luna Road and Floyd Road around 4 p.m. Saturday, police said in a report.
The attackers punched and kicked Harrison many times, leaving deeps cuts and lacerations on his head. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, the report said.
Harrison said he didn't know why the men were assaulting him, but that he thought they were trying to take his blue jean shorts.
One of the suspects was described as a black male of light complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches and 160 pounds, wearing a camouflage jacket, a white shirt and blue jeans. The other was described as a black male of dark complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches and 160 pounds, wearing white and blue pants and a white sweater.
