Scarved robbers hit laundry

They came wearing scarves over their faces Halloween night, but they were looking for more than treats.

Columbus Police are investigating the armed robbery of the Wynnton Homestyle Laundry, 1159 Henry Ave., about 9:50 p.m. Wednesday.

A clerk told police that two teen-agers entered the business, demanded money and pointed a pistol at the clerk, Lt. Mark Starling said Thursday. He said the clerk complied, no one was injured and the two teens left on foot. They were described as five-foot-eight and five-foot-six.

No arrests have been made.

The Wynnton area has been hit by several night-time robberies in the last two weeks, including the Sonic restaurant and Domino's Pizza, which are still under investigation.
