Red Lobster robbed

A lone gunman robbed the Red Lobster restaurant, 1425 13th St., Columbus, shortly before the restaurant closed Sunday night.

About 10:35 p.m., a man entered the restaurant brandishing a handgun and took cash from the cash drawer, said Columbus Police Lt. Steve Cox. Then he took the manager to his office and forced him to open a safe. An undetermined amound of cash was taken.

The man was observed entering a four-door red Cadillac at 14th Street and 15th Avenue. He was described as black, 5-foot-8, 175 pounds, wearing a blue hoody, black bandanna and black shoes.

The case is under investigation.
