Annual Columbus Kennel Club show moves back to Lakebottom Park

On Sunday, resist the temptation to snatch Destiny, a 9-week-old French bulldog, and run. The tiny pooch, owned by Johnny and Bree Babb, has large, erect ears and an expressive smushed-in face and will be competing for the title of Best Puppy.

Destiny, along with about 100 other American Kennel Club-registered dogs, will be prancing about Lakebottom Park Sunday in the Columbus Kennel Club's annual Conformation for AKC-registered dogs and Canine Good Citizen Test (for any dog).

Prizes will be awarded for Best Adult and Best Puppy.

Registration is noon-1:30 p.m., with CGC testing beginning at 1 p.m. Judging starts at 2 p.m. at Lakebottom Park on Cherokee Avenue.

Conformation classes are for dogs 4-6 months, 6-9 months, 9 months-a year-old and open. The obedience classes are Pre-novice, Novice A and Novice B.

Fees are $8 for conformation; $8 for obedience; $8 for CGC test.

Admission is free.
