Hospital Selects Architect

Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus, Ga. has selected the Nashville, Tenn. architecture firm of Gresham, Smith and Partners to design an acute care medical facility to replace the old hospital destroyed by a tornado on March 1.

The new hospital will be built on the site of the old one.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2008 with the goal of opening in mid-2010.
