Opelika Kangaroo Express robbed

Two men wearing ski masks robbed the Kangaroo Express, 3902 Pepperell Parkway, Opelika, early Tuesday of an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Opelika Police Capt. Allan Elkins.

One of the men was armed with a shotgun when the two entered the business about 2:17 a.m. and demanded money, he said. They were seen fleeing the business on foot headed toward Auburn.

The suspects were described as 19-30 years old, with one man about five-foot-seven, 175 lbs., wearing a gray sweatshirt and bluejeans. The other was described as five-foot-nine, 175 lbs., wearing a black T-shirt and bluejeans.
