Blackshear joins library info network

The Lake Blackshear Regional Library in Americus, Ga., which serves patrons in libraries in Crisp, Dooly, Scheley and Sumter Counties, will join the Public Information Network for Electronic Services (PINES) on Jan. 28.

PINES offers citizens a shared catalog of more than eight million items with a single library card welcomed in all member libraries.

With the addition of Lake Blackshear, the PINES consortium will include more than 275 public libraries and affiliated service centers in 137 counties.
