Four arrested in Auburn burglaries

Auburn police arrested four people in connection with two area burglaries Tuesday.

Willie Oliver, of Auburn, Kevin Oliver of Opelika, and two 17-year-old juveniles from Auburn were arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and third-degree theft of property and one count of second- degree theft of property after police said they were allegedly involved in two burglaries.

According to a news release, Auburn police responded to a burglary in the 500 block of Lee Road 57 on January 22.

The suspects' vehicle was seen in this burglary. A description was given to area agencies and the suspects were stopped and detained by Tuskegee police.

During the course of the investigation, another burglary was reported in the 500 block of Webster Road and connected to the same suspects.

Willie Oliver, 18, and Kevin Oliver, 21, were transported to the Lee County jail to await bond.

The juvenile suspects were transported to the Lee County Youth Development Center.

Police are still investigating to determine if the suspects are responsible for any more area burglaries.
