An Auburn man was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.
Lee County coroner Bill Harris said weather may have been a factor in the accident, which killed 22-year-old Carlos Artez Menifee.
The accident occured at around 3:50 p.m. on Shug Jordan Parkway between Shelton Mill Road and North College Street.
According to witnesses, Menifee's vehicle was traveling east and another vehicle was traveling west.

Menifee's car began hydroplaning on the wet roadway and he lost control of the vehicle and traveled into the east bound lane.
His car struck the other vehicle almost head on, knocking it into an embankment.
Menifee's vehicle overturned and ended up on its roof. Harris said it appeared that Menifee was not wearing a seatbelt.
He was pronounced dead on the scene at 4:05 p.m.
A passenger in Menifee's vehicle, Dzondria Jones, was transported to the East Alabama Medical Center with apparent non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was air-lifted by Lifesaver helicopter from the scene and flown to Columbus Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the accident.
This is the third traffic fatality of the year and the second in two days for Lee County.
The accident remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Department and the Lee County Coroner's Office.
