The co-defendant of a man who pleaded guilty Monday to intending to sell cocaine was sentenced today to time served for a misdemeanor marijuana charge.
Edward Harvey, 23, pleaded guilty before Muscogee County Superior Court Judge Robert Johnston III and was sentenced to eight months in jail, followed by four months probation. Arrested in April, Harvey will be released from the Muscogee County Jail today.
Harvey, Keyontia Maxie, 32, and Troy Monroe, 31, were initially charged with trafficking in cocaine after a search warrant was executed at Maxie's Torch Hill Road address in April. Monroe and Maxie were allegedly found in the bedroom with drugs. Harvey was sleeping on the couch in another room.
Monroe pleaded guilty Monday to possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and was sentenced to five years in prison, followed by five years probation.
