Chattahoochee Valley Community College is celebrating its 35th year with the creation of the Chattahoochee Valley Community College Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame will recognize outstanding contributions with divisions for alumni, athletes and those who have rendered distinguished service to the college.
The first class of inductees will include individuals who helped to launch CVCC. The ladies and gentlemen listed below will be honored at 7 p.m. EST Feb. 21 at Green Island Country Club.
Distinguished Service Division: Bowen Brassell, John Douglas Chambers, Ann B. Chard, George E. H. Chard, Earl Cook, Alberto Garcia, Jr., Joe R. Hair, Jr., Doug Key, Walter “Mac” McQueen, Sam Morton, Estelle Bain Owen, Aubrey V. Riley, the Rev. Johnny Rutledge, Ralph M. Savage, Norm Schaubhut, Jane G. Stonbraker, John B. Vance and Alva E. Sanks Weeks.

Distinguished Alumni Division: James “Jimmy” E. Davis, Cedric Hill, Franciska Kocsner, Dr. Malinda Nix, and Roy Waters.
Athletic Division: Danny Cox, Tim Hudson, B. R. Johnson, Doug Key, Walter “Mac” McQueen, and Arnold Veasley.
