Columbus-based Knox Pest Control said it has purchased two businesses, one locally and the other in Florida.
John Knox, president of Knox Pest Control, said his company recently bought American Environmental Services of Columbus, as well as C.O.P.S., an acronym that stands for Customer Oriented Pest Solutions. C.O.P.S. is based in Pensacola, Fla.
"The American Environmental acquisition further strengthens our position in the Columbus marketplace," Knox said in a statement.
C.O.P.S. gives the company a presence in the Florida Panhandle cities of Pensacola, Fort Walton and Destin, he said.
