An auto parts store in Lanett was robbed by an armed woman Tuesday afternoon.
At around 12:45 p.m., a woman entered the O'reilly Auto Parts store on Broad Ave., pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and demanded money from the register, according to a police department press release.
The suspect then ran out of the store to a charcoal-colored vehicle driven by a man.
They fled southbound on Highway 29 into Valley.

Witnesses described the woman was being about 5-foot-2-inches tall and of average build, with a dark complexion and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a yellow and black striped shirt and jogging pants, put on inside-out.
The car in which the woman and the man left the scene is described as a Honda or an Acura with dark tinted windows.
