Columbus-area companies will have an opportunity to network and possibly do business with the University of Georgia next month.
UGA is hosting the 2008 Minority and Small Business Expo 8 a.m.-noon March 7, the school said Wednesday. It will take place at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel.
The free event aims to give "service and product suppliers a chance to meet and network with UGA departments and purchasing decision-makers," it said.
“This opens up doors not just for minorities, but everyone—owners, entrepreneurs, buyers," said Sibyl Henderson, chairperson of the minority action committee at the Athens (Ga.) Area Chamber of Commerce. "It’s been a long time that we’ve been working on this project and we’re very excited about it."
