Sexual torture conviction nets life plus 25

A Seale, Ala, man convicted of sexual torture and first-degree sodomy was sentenced to life plus 25 years today.

Jeffery Hall, 49, also was fined $25 for contempt of court — a charge he received while testifying from the stand and continuing to ramble, Russell County Circuit Court Judge George Greene said.

Hall still faces charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine, first- and second-degree domestic violence and attempted murder.

"He committed these crimes, and he needs to answer for each and every one of them," said Assistant District Attorney David Johnson.
