NBA hall of famer Dominique Wilkins will head to Aflac Friday afternoon to talk to employees about diabetes.
The issue hits close to home for the champion slam-dunker, who is a diabetic himself.
The visit is a part of Aflac's renewed focus on employee health and wellness. In 2007, Aflac began pushing companywide efforts to educate and guide employees toward healthier lifestyles — through fitness activities, classes and healthier food offerings, among other things.
The event will be held at Aflac's Paul S. Amos campus. It is open to Aflac employees, who will have the opportunity to ask Wilkins questions and enter into a drawing for a pair of tickets to an upcoming Atlanta Hawks game.
