Veronica Elizabeth McEnroe, a seventh grade student at Fort Benning's Faith Middle School, has been accepted into the People to People World Leadership Forum.

She will join a select group of sixth, seventh and eighth grade student leaders from across the country in Washington, D.C. March 24-30. Students earn high school credit while studying leadership and exploring some of the United States' most prominent monuments and institutions.

Veronica, the daughter of Sgt. 1st Class Joseph McEnroe, was nominated by sixth grade teacher Felicia Westland of Carson Middle School at Fort Carson, Colo., from where her family recently relocated and was accepted for the honor based on her outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential.

The program is coordinated by People to People Student Ambassador Programs to fulfill the vision Dwight D. Eisenhower had for fostering world citizenship when he founded People to People during his presidency in 1956.
