Chattahoochee County High wins academic competition

The Chattahoochee County High School team which competed in its first ever state Academic Decathlon competition last weekend came home a winner.

Chattahoochee won in the small school division and will compete in a national online competition on May 1-2 the school.

The team is coached by Sarita Denny.

Team members in the Honors Division include Jennifer Dillon, Aman Punwani and Rachelle Cross.

The Scholastic Division includes Ashanti McDwo, James Bowyer and Leah McGlaun.

The Varsity Division includes Corey McCoy, Aaron Fernandez and Angelo Wills.

In individual competition Corey McCoy won a gold medal and Aman Punwani won bronze.
