TSYS execs to address prepaid card expo in Vegas

Three TSYS executives will make presentations at the 2008 Prepaid Card Expo next week in Las Vegas, the company said Thursday.

Paul Daffin, executive vice president and chief information officer with TSYS Prepaid, on Monday will serve on a panel focusing on the creation of secure and flexible prepaid technology.

The same day, Chris Trueslon, senior vice president with TSYS Prepaid, will discuss how banks can take advantage of prepaid card trends.

On Tuesday, John Goodale, director of card management solutions for TSYS Europe, will moderate a panel aimed at developing the prepaid business in Europe.

Columbus-based TSYS is a third-party payment processor that is expanding its global footprint.

Prepaid cards are pre-loaded with cash value and used by retailers, banks and other clients in several consumer and corporate sectors. They include rebates, promotions, gifts, payroll, corporate incentives, rewards, travel and insurance claims cards and "unbanked" consumers who don't have checking or savings accounts, as well as traditional credit cards.
