Around 50 people showed up to kick off the Columbus edition of Walk Georgia, a statewide fitness program designed to get all ages into the habit of weekly physical activity, at Wercoba Park this afternoon.
The program is web-based for greater participation and allows you to calculate and translate your actual minutes of participating in a variety of physical activities from walking, biking and even gardening or chair excercise to virtual minutes it would take you to walk to different parts of the state.
