A Georgia Senate committee is expected to hear today about a bill that would change the procedures and requirements for foreclosure.
The Senate Banking and Financial Institutions Committee will examine Senate Bill 465, which would require a debtor receive 90-days notice before a proposed foreclosure occurs. Currently, only 30 days notice must be given.
The bill is sponsored by Sen. Emanuel Jones, D-Ellenwood.
