Memory Lane, the Columbus nightclub at 1812 Midtown Drive, has a new owner.
Steve Bevilacqua, a former TSYS employee, confirmed that today is his first day as owner of the local hot spot. Memory Lane has been on the Columbus party scene for 18 years, and is popular for both its poker nights and DJ-spun music on weekends.
Bevilacqua said he's still evaluating the direction he'd like to take the club, and any changes will likely take place in mid-April. The hot spot will remain open as usual until then, hosting its standard theme nights.
"I have not made any definite decisions," said Bevilacqua, who lives in Columbus. "What I'm trying to do is sort of honor the past, but upgrade it."
