Old water tower gets facelift
Westbound motorists in uptown Columbus Wednesday morning got to see a new painting unveiled.
The old Eagle & Phenix Mill water tower has been shrouded by a large containment system for the last few weeks as workers first prepped it for painting and then painted it.
Wednesday morning, a fresh coat of silver paint gleamed in the morning sun.
The work began in mid-February as workers from the Utility Service Company in Perry, Ga., installed tyhe necessary hardware to hold the containment system.
The former Eagle & Phenix Mill is being converted into loft apartments and retail space by the real estate division of the W.C. Bradley Company.
